We introduce a Halpern’s type method to approximate common fixed points of a nonexpansive mapping T and of a nonspreading mapping S in Hilbert space. Further, under suitable hypotheses on controll coeficients, the proposed iterative scheme strongly converges to fixed point of T or of S. A crucial tool in our result is the regularization with the averaged type mappings. Moreover, our theorem generalizes the result due to Iemoto and Takahashi, [S.Iemoto, W.Takahashi, Approximating common fixed points of nonexpansive mappings and nonspreading mappings in a Hilbert space, Nonlinear Analysis 71, (2009), 2082-2089].
